As they often say, its not the destination but the journey that one shall you, I must say that it has been wonderful journey so far. I would like to think all the three million brothers and sisters that have sacrificed their lives for the country that we have today. They have given us not just a country but an identity as Bangladeshi. I would also thank my family for the support they have given in my journey and most importantly, I thank my parents, Md. Amirul Islam and Begum Rabeya Khatoon, for bring me to this world, I think Allah, for giving me the strength and courage to grow this company from mere USD 100,000 revenue to USD 240 million revenue company that it is today.
We at Alif Group, believe in hard work and passion, and our growth story has been example and witness to our core believes. My country have rewarded my company as being th highest exporter in the RMG category many times since 1996 and also have given me the status of a Commercially Important Person (C.I.P) since last 26 years continuously for our export performance. Ever since our inception into RMG in 1984, our goal was to grow with this sector via different product category and from woven tops to bottoms and now to knits. To face the challenge of the 21st century in 2008, we took up a vision to integrated our RMG sector with backward linkage support and today, we are fully vertically integrated in the knits sector all the way from manufacturing yarns to the end garment. By 2016 we plan to establish our own denim fabric manufacturing plant and by 2020 we want to establish our own woven fabric mill. Thus with this we can full fill our motto as we say it, “From Fiber to Fashion”.
Lastly I would like to thank all the 10,000 people that have been a part of our family and growing, for their continuous support and hard work. I would also like to earnestly request them that we shall keep working hard and move forward and make this million of 169 Million period where we send the label all over the world.. “Made in Bangladesh.”
